Senior Awards and Scholarship Night is Wednesday, May 5th at 7:00PM at the H-D-CAL Gymnasium. Pictures for these will follow the program.

Girl's Tennis match in Charles City at Sportsman's Park - start time 4:00PM
Boy's Tennis vs. Clear Lake at Progress Park - start time 4:30PM
Girl's & Boy's Track Meet at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School with start time of field events at 4:30PM and running to begin at 4:45PM
Boy's Soccer will travel to Iowa Falls -Alden - start time of Varsity match 5:30PM and JV at 7:15PM

Mrs. Miller's Class was our first class to reach 350 bark cards!!!! Their reward?? Spraying Mr. Haselhuhn with SILLY STRING!




2nd grade has been studying life cycles in science by watching changes happen with milkweed bugs and caterpillars. The milkweed bugs have grown from tiny nymphs to adults and will hopefully lay eggs soon. The caterpillars have grown lots and all formed a chrysalis. The students are anxious to see what happens next!

Seniors -- A reminder this Saturday May 1st is the Senior Breakfast. This will be at 9:00AM in the H-D Gymnasium. A Class of 2021 picture will be taken following the Senior Breakfast by Molly Bird, in front of the school. Photos will be available via digital download for a $5.00 fee. Envelopes for payment are available in the office and will be on the day of the breakfast. Parents will not be allowed to take pictures for this event.

It may be dreary outside, but it's warm and sunny in Mrs. Toomsen's room for Beach Day! They learned to hula dance and are spending the day pretending they are working at the beach!





The staff were excited about Math ISASP testing today! Way to go students. Keep working hard!

Cleaning up for EARTH DAY





The North Central Art Conference was held yesterday and H-D had many students from Miss Baltes' class submitting their artwork. They are as follows: Imelda Aragon, Alexa Castillo, Lupe Cavazos, Sophie Dietz, Brandyn Foell, Grecia Gutierrez, Jaelyn Hickman, Lauren Kurth, Jessica Martinez, Dylan Soderberg, Liberty Whipple and Aliza Yanez.
3 of the students were awarded with honor - Congratulations!! Great job to all students in sharing your creative pieces of artwork!
