2008-2009 SUPPLIES

A listing of appropriate supplies to send with your child follows.   Please note that magic markers and "trapper" notebooks are not recommended for grades one through four.  No liquid white-out will be allowed by students at school. H-D Intermediate students must bring appropriate shoes for use on gym floor.  (White-soled tennis shoes)

 

Early Childhood Program

• 1 box Ziploc storage baggies (quart or gal. size)
• 4 glue sticks
• 1 glue bottle (4oz. size) white Elmers is recommended, please no run glue
• 1 box of crayons (24 or more)
• 2 boxes of Kleenex
• 2 boxes snack crackers
• Regular size backpack
• Extra set of clothing (shirt, pants, socks and underwear)

There may be some additional items needed when your child is assigned his/her teacher in the fall. 

Kindergarten Prep

• School bag
• 2 boxes of Kleenex
• 4 packages of snacks (crackers, cereal, cookies, etc.)
• 6 glue sticks
• Paint Shirt (an old shirt of mom’s or dad’s works best)
• 2 pocket folders
• 1 box Crayola Crayons
• 1 box Crayola Washable Markers

Kindergarten

• We furnish scissors, glue, pencils, and the first set of eight crayons
• School bag-no wheels please
• 1 box of Kleenex
• A large bath towel for resting (no plastic mats)
• Paint shirt (an old T-shirt of mom’s or dad’s works best)

There may be some additional items needed when your child is assigned his/her teacher in the fall. 

Grade 1

      Please mark each item with your child’s name.

• School bag-bags with wheels don’t fit in lockers
• Colors- Box of 8, 16 or 24
• Scissors-pointed Fiskers are best
• #2 Pencils continuous supply.  No sharpeners or decorated pencils, because they do not sharpen well.
• 2 large erasers-soft pink pearl is best
• Glue – bottle and glue stick. (Elmers is recommended)
• Plastic pencil box
• Paint shirt
• 1 box of Kleenex
• Zip lock baggies-gallon
• 1 Notebook (spiral)-100 pages or more Wide Ruled

Grade 2

• School bag-bags with wheels don’t fit in lockers
• Colors-Box of 24 only
• 12 inch ruler with centimeters
• Scissors-pointed Fiskers are best
• #2 Pencils (2 dozen) –no sharpeners
• Eraser-soft pink or green
• Glue-white Elmers is recommended
• 2-pocket folder with pockets on the bottom
• Plastic pencil box
• Paint shirt
• 2 boxes of Kleenex
• Markers-Washable
• 1 Notebook (spiral)-70 pages Wide Ruled

Grade 3

• Backpack-bags with wheels don’t fit in lockers
• 1”-3 ring binder with loose leaf paper (wide rule)
• #2 Pencils (sharpened)
• 3 wide-lined tablets (prefer spiral)
• Crayons – 24-48
• Scissors-pointed Fiskers
• Glue-White, stick and/or regular
• Erasers-1 large pink
• School box –approx. 5” x 8” (no larger)
• (4) 2 pocket folders
• 12-inch wooden ruler with centimeters
• 2 large boxes of Kleenex
• 1 red pen
• 1 blue or black pen
• 4 Dry-Erase markers (fine point)
• Tennis shoes for P.E. (kept at school and used only for P.E.)
• No Trapper Keepers (they are too large)

Optional: Grade 3

• Colored pencils or thin-line markers (water-based)
• Water bottle
• Hand sanitizer (2 oz. size)

Grade 4

• 2 large boxes of Kleenex
• 4 pocket folders
• 2 pkgs. 3” x 5” index cards-100 cards per package (Look for cards with pre-punched holes if possible.)
• Glue Stick
• Pencil case or box
• Several #2 pencils
• Highlighter
• Scissors
• 2 Red pens
• Colored pencils
• Crayons
• Eraser
• 3 Spiral notebooks (wide rule with perforated edges)
• Loose-leaf paper (wide rule)
• Tennis shoes (kept at school and used only for P.E.)

• Loose leaf paper
• 2 one-subject spiral notebooks
• 1 folder/ 3 hole punched
• 3 pkgs of 3x5 lined index cards
• 2 packages of 3x3 post-it notes
• Ruler with centimeters and inches
• Cheap calculator ($1-$5 with 4 functions +-x / )
• 1 box colored pencils and hand-held pencil sharpener
• 1 box of 8 bold broad tip markers

Grade 7
