Middle School Honor Band
Congratulations to the following eighth grade band students who were chosen to be part of the Iowa All State 8th grade band this spring: Mitch Vetter - alto sax, Chris Huling - tenor sax, Tanner Hoegh - trumpet, Regan Katz - French horn, Taryn Barz - baritone. In addition, Ansley Katz was chosen as an alternate on tenor sax.

The following Hampton-Dumont student athletes have earned Fall athletics all-conference or all-district honors. They are:
Volleyball - Chandra Hampton - Second Team, Paige Shafrath - Third Team

Football - Clay Craighton (offensive tackle), Taylor Sorenson (linebacker), Tanner Johansen (defensive back) - First Team

Iowa All State Festival
Congratulations to the following students who auditioned Saturday, October 24 and were selected to participate in the Iowa All State Festival:

Mrs. Stewart to Direct OPUS Choir
Hampton-Dumont vocal music director, Bonnie Stewart, has been selected to conduct the 7th & 8th grade girls Opus Honor Choir in November. Opus Honor Choir is for Middle School students and is held in conjunction with the annual All State Festival. The concert will be held in November 20, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at CY Stephens Auditorium on the Iowa State University campus in Ames. Mrs. Glenda Green, Hampton-Dumont elementary vocal instructor, will be the accompanist.

Students Selected for OPUS Honor Choir
Eighth grader Jessica Buchanan, and sixth graders, Jenna Borcherding and Bailey Condon, have been selected to sing in the OPUS Honor Choir in Ames November 20. Congratulations to these girls on this honor!
